Cascade Energy recently formalized its partnership with Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) under the name Aquafficiency.
Over the past six years, our firms have worked together to successfully deliver Strategic Energy Management (SEM) to more than 50 water utilities. This team combines Cascade’s long and distinguished experience in the industrial energy efficiency market with HAL’s deep insight into water system engineering. Together, the Aquafficiency team has created a highly successful engagement for helping organizations develop an energy engagement culture while identifying specific, low-cost actions that save energy and money for large and small water systems alike.
The water industry’s interest in energy management continues to grow in response to aging infrastructure, increasing energy costs, and stricter water quality standards. Under the Aquafficiency service name, we are able to formalize and focus our offering to meet this ongoing demand.
“All public water systems can save energy,” said HAL vice president Steve Jones. “We help them pursue those opportunities and operate more sustainably. It goes far beyond equipment. We look at the whole water system and find ways to optimize it for energy, hydraulics, and water quality.”
Aquafficiency will help water utilities understand energy spend and culture, identify cost-effective energy efficiency opportunities, implement new operations, evaluate capital projects, monitor performance, and build organizational capacity for long-term energy management success.
