After significant planning work by our internal sustainability team, Cascade Energy submitted an application for the City of Portland’s Sustainability at Work program, followed by a verification visit with a City representative at the end of October. We are happy to announce we earned a Gold-level certification, which is the highest level of recognition awarded.

A number of ideas on the City’s application form helped enhance our existing sustainability program, including:

• Along with access to a bike storage room, air pump, and fantastic repair bench, we now provide a spare bike lock at our reception desk for employees and visitors.
• We have fully committed to purchasing only green-certified cleaning products.
