Cascade’s Great Place to Work survey results exceed the national average in workplace excellence.
Portland, OR—We’re proud to announce that as of October 2025, Cascade Energy (Cascade) is Great Place to Work® certified by the Great Place to Work Institute.
“Being recognized as a Great Place to Work is more than a certification; it’s a reflection of who we are,” said Dan Brown, CEO of Cascade. “At Cascade Energy, one of our core values is ‘seek shared success,’ and that starts with creating an environment where every employee-owner feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. This achievement reinforces our commitment to building a workplace where collaboration, inclusion, and growth are at the heart of everything we do.”
This recognition follows a comprehensive survey where an impressive 92% of Cascade’s 285 employee-owners affirmed the company as a great place to work, significantly surpassing the 57% average for typical U.S.-based companies.
Cascade also scored very well in sub-categories related to management practices and work-life balance. Ninety-six percent of employee-owners said management is honest and ethical in its business practices, and 95% said they were able to take time off of work when they thought it necessary. Over 90% of employee-owners also said they were made to feel welcome when joining Cascade, that they felt trusted to do a good job without management looking over their shoulders, that they felt management was competent at running the business, and that they felt proud to work at Cascade.
While we’re proud of these results, they are more than a badge. Cascade is motivated to continually improve the experiences of all our employee owners and to continually invest in creating a positive workplace culture.
“Our Great Place to Work certification reflects more than internal satisfaction,” said Natalia Rieland, Vice President of Cascade’s People Team. “It translates directly into the quality and consistency of service we deliver to our customers. When our employee-owners feel valued and supported, they stay and grow with Cascade. That stability means our customers can count on long-term relationships and teams that bring deep expertise and continuity to every project.”
The Great Place to Work Institute is the industry standard-setting organization for evaluating workplace culture. The Great Place to Work Trust Index™ Survey measure the level of trust in an organization and the consistency of the employee experience. The survey measures employee experiences on five dimensions of company culture through 60 statements—answered on a five point scale—and two open-ended questions. These dimensions cover credibility, trust, and fairness within leadership as well as employee pride and a sense of belonging.
The certification, achieved in October 2025, underscores our commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace culture.
