CASCADE DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC ENEGERY MANAGEMENT, PAM BIRKEL, JOINS NORTH AMERICAN STRATEGIC ENERGY MANAGEMENT COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Portland, Oregon, March 27, 2023 – Cascade is thrilled to announce that Pam Birkel, Director of Strategic Energy Management and a valued member of its team, has been chosen to serve on the North American Strategic Energy Management Collaborative (NASEMC) Leadership Team. The NASEMC is an initiative of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) that focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of energy management programs in the commercial and industrial sectors across North America.
Pam’s appointment to the NASEMC Leadership Team reflects her unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and her extensive experience in the field. In her new role, she will collaborate with other leadership team members to provide strategic guidance, develop innovative solutions, and expand the adoption of strategic energy management (SEM) programs throughout the United States and Canada.
A key area of focus for Pam will be to accelerate the implementation of SEM programs aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. With her comprehensive knowledge of sustainable energy practices, she will assist the NASEMC in establishing a community of practice, organizing training and networking events, and developing educational resources to enhance worker skills and disseminate best practices.
