Steve Martin leads Cascade’s implementation of the Bonneville Power Administration’s Energy Smart Industrial (ESI) program, an award-winning demand-side management (DSM) program with a 10-year track record of delivering energy savings to the Pacific Northwest. He has a passion for evolving program delivery strategies to offer maximum value to utilities and the industries they serve.

Prior to joining Cascade in 2010, Steve held technical and leadership roles in industry and co-managed the startup of North America’s first 300mm silicon wafer plant. In 2010, he led ESI’s strategic energy management (SEM) pilot, including the development of measurement and verification (M&V) methodologies for calculating energy savings. As an original member of the Northwest SEM Collaborative, Steve has presented and co-authored multiple papers on the topic of SEM M&V.

Personal Facts

Steve and his wife Kara have three children, and he’s happiest on a ski slope or coaching one of his kid’s youth sports teams. Although not related to the other Steve Martin, he owns a copy of The Jerk and aspires to play the three-finger banjo.
