As CFO, Kristi provides strategic leadership for Cascade’s business and finance functions, as well as for the management of its financial and capital resources in a triple bottom line environment (people, profits, and planet). With that said, being a CFO is not just about the numbers (although it is an important part of the job); it’s about understanding the dynamics of our business, projects, and people. It’s about connecting the numbers to the various teams that drive Cascade forward.
Kristi has sharpened her business and financial leadership skills over the past 20 years in a wide variety of industries, company structures, and roles. Most recently, Kristi was at Herbert L. Flake Company, LLC as CFO. There, she led the Finance and HR Teams and served as an executive role model for the company. Regardless of industry, Kristi has focused on bridging the gap between finance and operations so she can be a true business partner to the people and teams in the organization.
Kristi and her husband Mike are recent empty nesters and have enjoyed van life for the past 16 months while working from the road. Their favorite place to date has been Custer State Park in South Dakota, with Blue Ridge Mountains coming in as a close second. Now that Kristi has relocated to the Portland area, she looks forward to experiencing the Pacific Northwest and its many trails and outdoor adventures.
