As one of Cascade’s directors of business development, Joe drives new business opportunities, creating client solution strategies, building teams, managing budgets, conducting forecasting, and completing monthly reporting for opportunities across the Midwest and Southeast.
With over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, Joe has worked with residential, commercial, and industrial clients to address their natural gas and electricity needs. His experience includes leading energy efficiency and demand-side management (DSM) outreach, conducting facility assessments, managing utility incentives and programs, and serving as an expert witness in utility energy efficiency, DSM, and rate case proceedings to develop new utility recovery mechanisms.
Before joining Cascade in 2024, he served as an Energy Efficiency Solution Delivery Principal for Resource Innovations, where he led a 35-member team and managed a $55 million budget to implement a program on behalf of ComEd in Illinois, exceeding program goals, saving customers $18 million in energy costs, and increasing revenue by 82 percent in 2022.
Additionally, Joe spent more than a decade as an industrial engineer and project manager, focusing on improving efficiency and contributing to the revitalization of U.S. manufacturing.
He excels at implementing change management practices within utilities and industrial organizations and once boldly stated he has no fear of rejection. As a leader on our sales team, we’re delighted he feels that way.
