Don’s 30 years of experience working for utilities and as a consultant enable him to bring innovative, valued solutions to clients in New England and Mid-Atlantic states. He is broadly proficient in industrial and commercial demand-side management (DSM), with experience in program design, program delivery and evaluation, measurement and verification, and marketing/outreach. He has also managed teams of energy engineers and implementation contractors.
Don is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with utilities and corporate clients, forming and maintaining effective teaming relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and pursuing work throughout Cascade’s Northeast region.
Don has designed and led a variety of impactful energy efficiency and demand reduction programs in multiple Northeastern states, including Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. He has also crafted program solutions in several other states, including Ohio, Illinois, Texas, Virginia, and Louisiana. His energy modelling/analysis, program evaluation and M&V experience have provided him with a solid understanding of how energy is used and what efficiency measures may be effective, and an eye for quality. Over the years, Don has worked on projects in nearly every commercial and industrial sector, and he applies his deep understanding of end-users, utilities, and other stakeholders to bring innovative, cost-effective, customer-focused solutions.
Outside of work, Don enjoys cycling, the gym, skiing, hiking, and traveling. He has lived in Connecticut since graduating college and very much enjoys living in the Northeast with close access to the ocean, mountains, Boston, and New York City.
