Dan Brown

CEO, Board Member

Dan Brown started with Cascade Energy in 1998 as the first full-time employee hired by our three founders. In 2007, he joined Marcus Wilcox, Rob Morton, and Mike McDevitt as a Principal Owner and Board Member. Prior to becoming CEO, Dan spent five years serving as Vice President of Customer Engagement, where he relied on his talent for understanding clients’ needs to help Cascade broaden its focus from industrial energy efficiency to more comprehensive support for utility and corporate clean energy programs.

Sometimes referred to as the “Steve Jobs of Cascade,” Dan Brown is always thinking of the next big thing. In 2012, that next big thing was Energy Sensei, our energy management and collaboration software for SEM and corporate energy program management. Today, it’s growing our innovative energy management services into new utility, corporate, and government markets.

Dan began his career analyzing, implementing, and verifying industrial facility and system capital and retro-commissioning projects. This practical energy-efficiency foundation is now being put to good use in the development of world-class products and services.
