Brian Crumrine is the Director of Cascade’s Midwest Territory and is responsible for developing technical and program staff and ensuring successful program delivery for Cascade’s utility clients. Brian joined Cascade in 2010 and has worked to grow relationships with industrial sites and help them achieve significant and lasting energy savings. He enjoys and is skilled at wrangling a diverse team toward energy savings goals.
Brian’s professional roots are in Strategic Energy Management (SEM), a field he has explored through various roles supporting utilities in the northwest and beyond since 2005. Through this experience Brian became an accomplished SEM coach and program manager with an extensive background in energy management, continuous improvement, and project management.
While he spends his workday thinking about and communicating with people in the Midwest, Brian lives in Portland, OR with his wife, tweenage daughter and twenty-something stepson. He and his family love exploring the northwest, ideally on skis or bikes. In the summers you might find Brian and family visiting (and sometimes working from) northern Michigan where they have family ties. This helps Brian connect to, at least culturally, his Midwest colleagues.
