Diversity brings different perspectives, increased creativity, higher innovation, and faster problem solving. Within three years, Cascade aims to fill open positions at a rate of 60% from underrepresented groups, including 35% of that total number being BIPOC candidates.
Immediate steps we are taking to improve diversity at Cascade include developing and tracking metrics for our hiring and recruiting process, creating diverse interview slates for every open position, and posting job openings both internally and externally. We are also hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead to improve our recruitment efforts and build our relationships with professional organizations that support underrepresented communities.
