Together, We're Creating Space for All.
Cascade Energy is committed to a fair, welcoming, and people-first workplace.
As an employee-owned company, our people are our top priority and our greatest strength. We are committed to continuous learning, innovation, and growth, and to identifying, addressing, and removing barriers to success at work — always in alignment with our company values.
What this means to us
Cascade employees are a unique and varied group of talented, smart, and driven individuals. We value the strength in our differences and believe that navigating differences productively with dignity and authenticity makes Cascade stronger. We have built a company where people take pride in their work and are empowered to enjoy a healthy, safe work environment with opportunities for professional and personal growth.
At Cascade Energy, we build our workplaces in alignment with our company values. We do not tolerate discrimination in any form, whether during hiring, on the job, at client sites, or in remote or in-person work settings.
Creating Fairness, Access, and Opportunity for All
We believe that people perform at their best when they feel safe, respected, and valued as part of a team. We are building an environment where everyone can speak up, ask questions, contribute ideas, and grow. We are continuous learners. We approach our work with humility. We acknowledge mistakes, take responsibility, and keep growing—individually and as a company.
We invest in our team's growth through training, job shadowing, industry conferences, speaking and teaching opportunities, and other forms of professional development. Everyone deserves the opportunity to build skills, contribute meaningfully, and grow their career at Cascade.
A Place Where People Thrive
The evidence is clear—a wider range of viewpoints makes us smarter and more capable. We benefit when people from many different walks of life are part of our workforce, across all roles and levels.
Different perspectives encourage greater creativity, stronger innovation, and faster problem solving. We thrive when different backgrounds and experiences are represented at the employee, manager, and board levels.
All applicants are welcome here
Cascade works across geographic regions and states. As a company that works with corporate, utility, and government customers, we are especially eager to engage with applicants who bring perspectives that reflect the communities we serve.
Creating a strong foundation
While our People team helps make the first connection, it’s everyone’s job to create a welcoming, respectful place to work. We work to retain great people by helping them succeed and feel valued from day one. All Cascadians are responsible for creating and supporting safe and welcoming workspaces that support the retention and happiness of our new team members.
Partnering
We expect our partners, vendors, and subcontractors to uphold the same standards of fairness, respect, and professionalism that we set for ourselves. Whether collaborating on-site, remotely, or in the field, we value working relationships grounded in trust and mutual accountability.
We seek out partnerships with companies and individuals who share our commitment to creating welcoming environments, treating people with dignity, and ensuring equal access to opportunity. Together, we can deliver stronger outcomes for our customers and a better experience for everyone involved.
Referral program
Our Candidate Referral Program helps us find great people by broadening how and where we look. Referrals can come from employees, customers, vendors, and community partners. If your referral is hired, you can choose a professional group to receive a $500 donation. In 2022, the program led to $2,500 in donations.
We also work with outside organizations that help connect us with talent. And while referrals are valuable, we know networks can be limited. That’s why we combine referrals with broader outreach to reach more candidates.
Fairness in Pay and Progression
We believe people should be recognized and rewarded for their contributions—not influenced by background, identity, or connections. Fair and consistent pay and growth opportunities help build trust, closes pay gaps, support retention, and allow everyone to thrive.
That’s why we’re committed to transparency in our pay practices and career paths—so every employee has clarity on how to grow and what to expect.
Why it matters
At Cascade, we’re building a culture where people feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and learning from both successes and mistakes. Thoughtful input from a wide range of experiences makes our work stronger and our teams more effective.
We foster open, respectful conversations and support these conversations across all levels of the company. By encouraging honest dialogue and different ways of thinking, we help individuals grow, strengthen our teams, and support better decisions across the board.
Everyone brings something valuable to the table. When we create space for people to contribute fully, we move forward together—with more clarity, creativity, and confidence.
Accessibility at Cascade
We believe that improved accessibility empowers Cascadians to wholly contribute to our work and makes experiences, services, and products better for everyone.
Making accessibility an integral part of the workplace elevates belonging and nurtures a rich, prospering internal community.
Everyone, both internal and external to Cascade, benefits from accessibility efforts. These efforts identify and remove barriers to participation, creating an environment that allows more individuals to access, understand, and engage – regardless of individual needs or disability status.
Some of our actions in this area include:
- Integrating check points into both new employee onboarding and with existing employees to ensure that all Cascadians have regular opportunities to request accommodations.
- Auditing written and printed work to ensure that our communications are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
- Providing management training tools to gain and improve skills.
A Place for Opportunity
Cascade’s core mission is to team with our customers to drive measurable progress toward their goals — all in the service of forging efficient, thriving, emissions-free industrial and commercial sectors. Similarly, Cascade is committed to helping all employees find and meet their professional growth and development goals that also align with Cascade’s business needs.
Federal, state, and local laws where Cascade delivers services and employs people create the backdrop for this commitment of fair access to opportunities, including laws that require equal pay (the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act); laws that prohibit employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation (the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended in 1991)); and leave laws like the Family Medical Leave Act and others that allow for paid or unpaid leave for qualifying reasons. Cascade will work to address barriers that may exist for applicants who are interested in being considered for a position, and for employees who are delivering our services, and provide effective and appropriate reasonable accommodations that address barriers. Cascade embraces diversity of age, background, disability, ethnicity, gender orientation or expression, marital status, nationality, parental status, personal or social status, political affiliation, race, religion and beliefs, sex/gender, sexual orientation or expression, skin color, veteran protected status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
