Our Mission
At Cascade, we value sustainability in the biggest possible sense – helping the world become a better place. We are doing our part to fight climate change, for us and for future generations.

Our Beginning
In 1993, three best friends took a leap of faith, stepping away from their stable mechanical engineering jobs to found Cascade Energy Engineering, an industrial energy efficiency engineering company with unmatched industrial refrigeration chops.
Our Growth
Over the last 30-plus years, what they started has grown to become the Cascade Energy of today: We continue to provide preeminent energy engineering project services, design and implement utility demand-side management programs, innovate and deliver strategic energy management (SEM) services and software, and develop and implement multi-year energy management programs for our corporate customers.
In 2025, we welcomed Fresh Coast Climate Solutions to our team, expanding our decarbonization work and introducing a full suite of sustainability consulting services to our offerings. We leverage energy management and sustainability software and services together to create a symbiotic relationship, elevating outcomes for all our customers.

At Cascade, we come to work every day with a drive for continuous improvement. Our commitment to making commercial and industrial energy efficiency happen in smart, measurable, and sustained ways is unwavering. Those three 20-somethings could never have guessed what they would build, but we think their commitment to continuous improvement probably had something to do with it.

In 2016, we set a goal to deliver 8,000 GWh of sustained energy savings by 2028. As of 2025, we have successfully achieved 64% of our 8,000 GWh energy savings goal.

In 2022, as Cascade shifted to a climate-forward focus on the decarbonization impact of energy efficiency, we set an additional three-year goal to save 1.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MMTCDE) by 2024. As of 2025, we have successfully achieved 60% of our MMTCDE goal.
