Version 6 of BPA’s Energy Smart Industrial Monitoring, Tracking, and Reporting Guidelines Now Available

Since 2009 Cascade Energy has served as the program partner for Bonneville Power Administration’s Energy Smart Industrial. Together, Cascade’s ESI staff and BPA engineer Todd Amundson worked to develop the Monitoring, Targeting and Reporting (MT&R) methodology—in conjunction with a process to track specific activities to quantify energy savings for Strategic Energy Management projects.

The MT&R Guidelines outlines recommended methodologies to establish baseline energy models at a whole-facility or subsystem level, and ultimately quantify energy savings associated with the implementation of multiple energy efficiency measures over a defined performance period. Specific focus is given to methodologies for addressing the separation of operations and maintenance savings from concurrent capital projects, and adjusting the baseline model for non-routine changes to plants or systems.

The newest version of the MT&R Guidelines is now available here.
