Susan Hanson

Susan Hanson’s superhero-level planning and organizational skills have rescued nearly everyone she’s worked with in her 10-plus years at Cascade. Her steady hand serves her well both in navigating the complex support needs of executives as well as coaching and mentoring Cascade’s administrative support staff.

Susan is a liaison for the leadership team, providing high-level administrative support to the CEO, vice-presidents, and other Cascade board members. In addition, she manages projects, conducts research and analysis, develops and rolls out communication plans, and is a trusted advisor who aids in decision making and policy setting. Susan joined Cascade in 2007 following 20 years of experience in social work and health care, bringing with her administrative expertise in law, insurance, and government relations. In previous roles at Cascade, she provided program start-up expertise to new business lines, identifying program goals, managing key personnel, and monitoring program success.

Personal Facts

In addition to enjoying the liveliness and chaos of her household that includes her husband, three kids, a dog, a guinea pig, a snake, and lots of fish, Susan enjoys hunkering down with a good book, hiking, going to big Broadway musicals, and traveling the world.
