Sometimes referred to as the “Steve Jobs of Cascade,” Dan Brown is always thinking of the next big thing. In 2012, that next big thing was SENSEI®, our energy management and collaboration software for SEM program management. Today, it’s growing our innovative energy management services into new utility, corporate, and government markets.

Dan leads the team focused on understanding utility and corporate customer needs, designing and tailoring large-scale energy-efficiency offerings that couple services, software, and data to deliver deep and persistent energy savings for these customers. His work with utilities also integrates innovative and efficient ways to serve their often hard-to-reach industrial and agricultural customers.

After joining Cascade in 1998 as the first full-time employee to be hired by our three founders, Dan began his career analyzing, implementing, and verifying industrial facility and system capital and retro-commissioning projects. This practical energy-efficiency foundation is now being put to good use in the development of world-class products and services.

Personal Facts

Outside the office, Dan is a two-wheel enthusiast, riding bicycles and motorcycles across all available terrains. Dan also enjoys skiing, exploring, and spending quality family time with his wife Stephanie and their two boys.
