Barbara has worked at Cascade Energy implementing industrial energy efficiency projects since 2004. In her current role, Barbara helps to define the vision and shape the specifications of Cascade’s energy management software solutions for industrial efficiency programs and corporate clients. She also directly oversees the software development team and manages reporting, analysis tool development, and continuous improvement projects for internal company deployment.

Barbara’s career experience ranges from machinery research and design, equipment vendors to energy analysis. She recognizes the importance of a multi-level understanding of engineering projects and completed a Master’s degree in Engineering Management to further her marketing and managerial skills. Barbara acted as Cascade’s Director of Engineering for two years before transitioning to her current role. In addition, Barbara previously developed analysis tools for compressed air, irrigation, and dairy applications adopted by regional energy efficiency management programs.

Interesting Personal Facts

Since moving to the US from her native New Zealand, Barbara has bounced from hot (a hydrogen engine research lab) to cold (cryogenic pump design) before finding equilibrium at Cascade. In her spare time, Barbara provides Spanish translations for her children’s school and is an active member of several community groups.
