Achieving maximum energy efficiency and continued cost savings isn’t just a one-time event, it’s a continuous and strategic process. At Cascade, we work with your team to develop an energy management program that delivers results quickly while driving improvement over the long term.
For individual sites, our approach to energy management typically includes assessing historical performance and setting a strategy based on achievable goals. We take a hands-on approach to giving you assessments of opportunities for improvement in operations and maintenance (O&M) of existing equipment, as well as recommendations for capital upgrades to more efficient equipment. We’ll install an energy information system to track your progress and help you build employee awareness and buy-in. Cascade also offers training and ongoing coaching to help staff identify additional opportunities moving forward.
For large enterprises, our Strategic Energy Management (SEM) program helps shift corporate culture to view energy as a controllable cost and develop the necessary systems for managing consumption. The SEM process involves forming a corporate energy team, performing self-assessments, setting strategic corporate goals, securing senior management commitment, and building an infrastructure to support the program. SEM provides a framework for individual site energy management and aggregates individual results to assess performance on a regional, business unit, and total enterprise basis. All along the way, a Cascade program coordinator provides the guidance and support you need for successful implementation of your Strategic Energy Management Plan (SEMP).
