From fresh and perishable, to frozen and stored, to brewed and bottled, food and beverage processing often involves complex, energy intensive operations, temperature controlled environments, and seasonal fluctuations.
Cascade is an energy collaborator and supplier member of the Northwest Food Processors Association, and has worked with food and beverage companies large and small across the US, Canada, and Mexico to reduce their energy consumption and costs. We not only understand the energy variables of these facilities, but also the importance of production efficiency, food and beverage quality, and seasonal and demand spikes. Through operations and maintenance (O&M) optimization and capital projects, Cascade can help minimize energy consumption and costs without impacting production. We understand all the major energy-using systems common to food processors: refrigeration, compressed air, pumps and fans, hydraulics, boilers, cookers, blanchers, dryers, and the controls associated with each.
Several of Cascade’s founding partners grew up on farms, or worked in the food processing industry. We appreciate the intensity of harvest, the honor of growing and processing healthy food, and how foundational this industry is to our nation.
